The Village Voice is the local newspaper of Buninyong and surrounding areas. This free community newspaper is proudly produced and printed bi-monthly and has been serving the community since its inception in 2024.
The Village Voice is auspiced by the Buninyong and District Community Association (BDCA) a not-for-profit community organisation comprising of a group of volunteer local residents who have an interest in preserving the character, heritage and promotion of Buninyong. The purpose of the Village Voice is to inform local residents about the achievements, issues, events and activities which shape this vibrant community. We are supported by the generosity of the Bendigo Bank (Community Bank Buninyong) and the many individuals and businesses who regularly advertise their services. The majority of our advertisers are local businesses – large and small – and we encourage the community to support them, as they support us.
Circulation
Our A4 newspaper is printed bi-monthly with multiple copies available on magazine stands located in local businesses for people to enjoy. Copies may also be downloaded via a poster QR code. In addition, the Village Voice is available online in digital format via the website: www.buninyongcommunityassociation.com.au or via Facebook: Village Voice - Buninyong and District Community News.
Advertising Requirements
Please be aware that we do not create advertisements in house. Advertisers are asked to design their own ads as described below.
Display Section
Display advertising refers to the section of the paper from the second page up to and including the back page. It does not include the front page. Advertisements in this section can be either in colour or black and white and must be provided as finished art in a high-resolution pdf (no bleed or cut marks).
Formats
Advertising formats may include the traditional advertising format with a mix of text and artwork. You can choose from small business card ads to large, full-page ads.
Alternatively, advertorials look like regular editorial content and are even written in a way to give information about a product or service and not merely sell it. The advertorial can be written as if the marketer was an industry expert, giving details about the industry trends or how their product is better than its competitors.

Both forms may be published in the Village Voice though traditional advertising has more size variations.
Artwork
All advertisements must be provided to us complete in correct size and format, prior to the cut-off date indicated below. We cannot alter your pdf or jpeg and it’s your responsibility to provide print-ready artwork in the specified format.
Real Estate
Due to the layout of the newspaper, full page and half page advertisements are the most appropriate for this section.
Advertising Enquiries
For any advertising enquiries, please contact news.bdca@outlook.com. An advertising agreement form will be provided and must be completed and returned with any artwork. No advertising will be published without the submission of an advertising agreement form.
Deadlines
The deadline for the 1 June and 1 August publications is the 14th of month prior to production. Early submission of agreement forms and artwork is appreciated to ensure space is available.
